The EKI Foundation provides the financing of the facilities, and calculates its annual cost by dividing the total investment into up to twenty years of operative life. We expect facility users to make a contribution to this annual cost through a donation to the EKI Foundation. The part not covered of the annual cost will be completed through donations.

EKI intends with this "modus operandi" to make visible and bearable the annual cost of energy to users, and also to make them share with their contribution, in new projects of solidarity, like theirs, require the supply of electricity.

Where possible, we rely on local installers and suppliers to develop on-site capabilities and facilitate installation and maintenance of the facilities.

In this way, EKI contributes to the establishment of a local industry in the field of renewable energies and to the training and development of its professionals.
